This wine is hand picked from idllyic vineyards in the Awatere Valley and Upper Wairau Valley, Marlborough, New Zealand. The soils are ancient river beds with free draining stony soils and silty clay loams.
Vertical shoot positioned trellis was used with two canes pruned and spur pruning, laid down providing an average of 3 tonnes per acre. 45% barrel French Oak aged, total maturation was for 8 months.
A warm summer provided delicate flavours and structure.
This wine is perfect with rich lamb and beef, and partners up well with smoked salmon.
